Allylix Inc. is a renewable chemicals company that develops terpene products and their derivatives for the flavor and fragrance, food ingredient, pharmaceutical, agricultural and cosmetic industry. Terpenes, a class of chemicals known to be effective for a wide range of applications, have only been available to date from plants or chemical synthesis in limited quantities. Allylix uses biotechnology and molecular biology to produce these products in a very effective and scalable way.
Allylix, Inc. was founded in 2004 and headquartered in San Diego, California, in U.S.A and have a development center in Lexington, Kentucky  in U.S.A.  BASF VC invested in Allylix  in February 2012 along with Tate & Lyle Ventures, Avrio Ventures and Cultivian Ventures.
