AgION's most important product is AgIONTM, an inorganic antimicrobial compound, which incorporates an active ingredient (silver ions) in a mineral carrier (zeolite). The incorporation of silver ions in zeolite allows for continuous and controlled release of the active metal in an environmentally-friendly manner and enables it to remain active over a long period of time.
AgION Technologies was founded in 1997. BASF Venture Capital has invested since 2005 - together with Paladin Capital Group, H.B. Fuller Ventures, Emerald Technology Ventures and Motorola Ventures.
