SDCmaterials develops new nano-enabled products by evaporating metal powders in a plasma arc.

With its special technology, SDCmaterials can process multiple nanopowder samples in a short time, which helps significantly reduce the development time of new catalysts and inorganic materials.

The process can be scaled-up to ton scale and SDCmaterials can also offer its customers nanopowder of consistent quality for large-scale production. SDCmaterials is primarily focused on the production of superior catalyst solutions for a variety of markets, including automotive, refining, fine chemical and pharmaceutical applications. Their technology can also be used to produce nanomaterials.

SDCmaterials was established in 2004. BASF Venture Capital first invested in SDCmaterials in 2006 along with Emerald Ventures.
