Oxonica Ltd., Oxford, UK, was established in 1999 as a spin-off from the University of Oxford. The company has developed a patented enabling technology for the production of nanoparticles which will solve urgent problems in applications such as catalysis, cosmetics and biolabelling.

In July 2005, Oxonica was floated on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange.
